The Observer-Dispatch reports:
Members of the Family Rosary Crusade hope a semi-formal dinner dance fundraiser will help to raise the first dollars needed to support a radio station that will air the EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network.
The network offers the satellite service for free, and the local rosary crusade recently obtained an FCC license to air the feed, but now needs funds for leasing, licensing and engineering a tower, said Anna Marie Piacentino, founder of the crusade.
The organization isn’t sure exactly how much they need to raise, but are estimating about $75,000, Piacentino said.
They’ll receive some money from the Catholic Radio Association, but “we need the community’s help if we really want it,” she said.
