New Grand Island Nebraska Catholic radio station goes on the air

The Grand Island Independent reports:

Just a few days before Christmas Mass, Grand Island-area Catholics have something else to celebrate: A new Catholic radio station in Grand Island.

“It’s a good Christmas present for the people here in Grand Island,” said Bishop William Dendinger of the Diocese of Grand Island.

The station, Spirit 91.5 FM, went on the air Tuesday afternoon, and Dendinger became the first person to broadcast live from Grand Island on Wednesday morning, when he did an interview from Blessed Sacrament Church with the Omaha-based Spirit Radio morning show.
